> Prompt for optimizing website content for AI search and citations

Site index: https://llms-full-txt.ru/en/llms.txt

Input: The text of one page

Output: A rewritten page and a list of edits

## Why

Make a page clearer for a model: a plain answer at the top, a clear structure, facts with sources. It does not guarantee citations in AI answers - nobody can promise that.

## When to use

- The page answers a specific question, but the answer is buried in the middle.
- The text has a lot of filler and few facts.
- Headings do not say what is under them.

## What to fill in

| Variable | What it is |
|---|---|
| `[question]` | the question the page answers |
| `[text]` | the full text of the page |

## Prompt

```text title="Prompt"
Rewrite the page so that both a person and a language model can understand it easily.
The question the page answers: [question]
Text:
[text]
Rules:
1. In the first paragraph give a direct answer in two or three sentences.
2. Every heading must say what is written under it.
3. Give definitions in one phrase: "X is Y".
4. Use lists for enumerations and tables for comparisons.
5. Remove filler and repetition.
6. Do not change or add facts and numbers. If a claim has no source, mark it.
Return:
- the rewritten text in Markdown;
- a list of edits: what changed and why;
- a list of claims without a source.
```

## What you get

A page with the answer in the first paragraph, a list of edits and a list of places that need a source.

## Check the result

1. The model did not add facts or numbers that were not there.
2. The meaning of the text did not change.
3. Claims without a source are either confirmed or removed.
